We adopted Brady from the ARL in November 2015 and quickly realized her aggression towards other dogs was going to be an issue and we had no idea how to break her of it. Cue Lisa to the rescue. After the first 2 in-home sessions with Lisa we saw a huge change in Brady’s ability to focus on us and not external distractions. Add in the e-collar and 2 more sessions and she’s like a whole new dog! Now instead of being afraid, we’re actually excited to get her into group classes. What I found most impressive compared to other dog trainers we tried was that Lisa had a long-term plan for Brady, which was never proposed to us before. Training is not just a 1 day thing and Sit Means Sit clearly gets that.
My brother was a client of Sit Means Sit and had been telling me for months to call to schedule lessons for Joey, my Cavapoo puppy. It wasn’t until he was in the vet for emergency care (because he stole medication from the counter) that I called to book training. Joey stayed with Lisa for a 10-day boot camp and is a totally different dog now. Our family is very busy, and Joey is very high energy. He was constantly jumping and stealing things and would not come back. Everything was a game for him. He learned basic obedience, confidence, self-control and attention while he was gone – I tell everyone about it – and would send another dog for training in a second.
