We work with any dog, of any age, and can handle any
behavioral issue.
Some dogs require the repetition and consistency of a board and train approach to solidify foundation obedience before going home. These programs are usually best for busy individuals or families who don’t have time to do all of the training early in a program. Even though it is a hands-off approach, you can rest assured that your dog will have a lot of fun and be treated with the respect and understanding that we believe all animals deserve.
We work on basic commands (sit, heel, place etc.), attention (avoiding confrontation with other dogs and individuals), and specific behaviors for in-public or at-home distractions (off-leash and loose-leash walking). Each dog needs something just a little different, so we work on what is most important for each individual. Then we teach you how to maintain what we’ve taught your dog and you get to start to take the lead.
This approach balances professional coaching for the owner and the dog. Your dog will spend the day at school working with our experienced trainers, who then give you a lesson when you return later in the day. Let us do some of the work for you and help you maintain training at home with follow-up lessons.
Our programs are not “standardized” – we’re not trying to teach you something your dog doesn’t need. Everything is specific to your dog’s needs in the training facility and at home. This is one of the huge benefits of choosing to work with us. For example, if your goal is to train for a therapy dog certification or earn the Canine Good Citizen title, our trainers can take that into account when we’re working with you. Additionally, we don’t limit what kind of dog we take because we believe all dogs are deserving of living life to the fullest. Adult dogs, regardless of age, breed, temperament, or behavioral history, are welcome at the Day Training class.
Training doesn’t end after the first few lessons—it’s an ongoing process that takes consistency and practice from both you and your dog. Our Frequent Fido program is designed to reinforce and refine the skills your dog has already learned, helping you maintain progress and build on it over time. It’s the perfect way to ensure your dog stays well-behaved and responsive as they continue to grow and learn.
A personal instructor will coach you and your dog through basic commands and goal-specific training situations. This will help you become a leader and give you the knowledge to be successful on your own. By being very involved in your dog’s training, you get to grow an even deeper, more meaningful connection than you might otherwise enjoy.
A lot of what we cover in obedience classes is also covered in private lessons. Most common things include solidifying basic commands, door manners, leash walking, and environment-specific behaviors. The private setting means that all the training sessions are specific to your exact needs. We spend an hour learning skills and techniques every week that you can then practice at home and work on with your pup. If you need a program that works around your schedule, contact us today and enroll your furry friend.

Life gets busy, and sometimes training takes a back seat. Maybe you haven’t had time to practice, or a recent change has triggered new behavior—or brought back an old one. Whatever the case, our tune-up sessions are here to help. These focused sessions are designed to refresh and reinforce your dog’s basic obedience skills, giving you both the support you need to get back on track with confidence.
Our Growing Up Puppy program is unique to us! We’ll be with you from the start until your puppy is almost one year old. It’s the most comprehensive training program in the area.
We break training into three age-appropriate stages so that your puppy learns as he or she grows up. Each stage gets more specific to your needs as well. A puppy who trusts you will live a life mostly (if not entirely) free of anxiety. The sooner you become their safe person, the deeper the bond you will create.
We work on the basics, such as come, place, sit, and down. We work on attention and engagement, always! Leash manners, polite greeting, and in-home behaviors are also covered. By starting training while dogs are young, pet parents get to enjoy the benefits of a lifetime of good behavior. A relationship that is based on training is a relationship that experiences clear communication and mutual trust. You can’t put a price tag on that kind of companionship.
