Becoming a pet parent is one of the best things that can happen to a person. Puppies bring pure light and joy to the family. They’re adorable bundles of happiness that no one can resist! They’re also a lot of work. As owners, it’s our responsibility to make sure that our furry little friends get life started off on the right paw. Puppy training classes are the best way to build a foundation of trust and communication that will last a lifetime. Training sessions should be short and geared towards a puppy’s needs as it matures.
In your puppy training sessions, you and your pup will work together with our professional dog trainers. Our puppy group classes will teach the basics, such as potty training, leash walking, manners, sit, recall, and more skills. Puppies often catch a lot of flak for being uncontrollable and easily distracted. Both of those things can be easily overcome. Once you have the understanding that bad behavior never has to be excused, it makes sense that dogs of all ages are able to learn basic and advanced dog training. At Sit Means Sit, we believe that there’s nothing a dog can’t do, no matter their age, size, or temperament.
Once your pup has grown up and through their puppy dog training classes, they graduate to our Day Training sessions. We build on foundation commands, work through new situations and continue to help your puppy learn and grow. The final stage is private lessons where you have the benefit of the direct attention of one of our professional trainers. This final stage is entirely specific to your and your puppy’s needs between 7 – 10 months of age.
Puppy training programs are where it all begins. Without that foundation, the future becomes unstable. You’re likely to face problems with obedience. Even if your dog doesn’t want to be problematic, if both of you don’t know how to talk to one another, you won’t be able to accomplish that deep, rich bond that we all crave.
Our dog training services are tailored to your specific needs and training goals. Whether you want your puppy to go on to achieve the Canine Good Citizen award and become a therapy dog through an international association, or you simply want to enjoy loose-leash walking in the evening, we’re here to support you.
